Dreaming of Tomorrow

The rain falls all the day.

And here I am in my threadbare coat, wishing hard for shelter and a big lot of warmth. Wishing don’t warm the bones, though. I need a warm place to be. At least for tonight.

I walk under awnings.

I step careful over puddles.

The rain falls.

And I’m wet all over.

But if I could just find a warm place, I’ll be lots of fine.

The rain…it will all stop tomorrow.

And the sun…Mm-mm. Will she ever shine!
