Phantasmagorical You

You.
You were never the same.
Sometimes you were blue-eyed.
Sometimes green-eyed you were.

Sometimes you looked good in red.
Sometimes you sounded wicked in black.
Sometimes you smelled like wine.
Sometimes you felt like twine.

You.
Every time we met
I met someone new.
Someone who wasn’t you
And yet it was

You.
Green-eyed
Blue-eyed
Strange
Wonderful
Magical
Phantasmagorical
You.

If we meet tonight,
Who will you be?
What mysteries will
I have to unwind?
Will I like
The you
I see?
