The glittering gem held all of the secrets to the past. It was a certainty. It was science. It was a proven fact.
But no one knew how to access it.
Scientists tinkered and puttered with it.
Gemologists did their part.
But the green-blue gem sparkled and shined and held all of its secrets deep inside where no one could see them.
The thief, however, didn’t care about any of that. All she saw was a gem that she could either keep all to herself or sell for a glorious amount of money. It was her choice.
Stealing it would be easy.
She just needed to stay in the darkness and bide her time.
