New Falling Snow

The snow fell.
Soft and brand new.
It fell in starflakes.
It fell in easily broken clumps.

It fell in silence.
White and soft.
It fell in feather powder.
It fell in building dense drifts.

The snow fell.
Relentless and ruthless.
Soft and gentle.
On her face
As she looked up into the sky.

    1. Thank you! I’m glad you liked it. 😀

I almost ended this on a more gruesome note where the snow would be covering up blood on the ground. But I liked the idea of leaving it ambiguous. Maybe she’s alive and just deeply lost in the snow. Or maybe she’s dead. It’s all up to the reader’s imagination. 😉
